SonySugar Set to Reap from the Resolutions of the Nyanza International Investment Conference

 South Nyanza Sugar Company Limited was among the notable organizations which participated in the Nyanza International Investment Conference (NIIC) held at the prestigious Ciala Resort in Kisumu. The company played a critical role as sponsor as well as exhibitor at the event which was organized by the Nyanza Professionals Forum.

The conference which took place from 6th to 8th February 2025, brought together various players in government and private sectors that showcased their latest initiatives in exploring untapped resources towards sustainable development in the Nyanza region. Potential investors from across the globe attended the conference, which was officially opened by the Deputy President, Prof Kindiki Kithure, and closed by the Cabinet Secretary for Co-Operatives and MSMEs Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya.

Keynote addresses on the sugar industry delivered by the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr Paul Kipronoh Ronoh, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Performance and Delivery Management in the Office of the President CPA Eliud Owalo, SonySugar Board chairman, Hon Jared Kopiyo and SonySugar Managing Director Mr Martine Dima among others speakers touched on the value addition to the sugar products, and cogeneration among other issues. Investors are already laying strategies for action on the various areas of their interest at SonySuagr.
